Intensive English Class - CEFR A2
- West Sumatra is never known as a destination for learning English intensively, yet we're about to change that. Unlike similar programs in Pare, the capital city of learning English intensively in Indonesia, our one-of-a-kind autumn program offers students aged 13 to 15 an intensive English camp journey for a whole month. However, unlike other programs which mostly employ fresh graduates and uncertified English tutors, we are proud to feature English-only classes conducted by internationally-seasoned English teacher. In fact, our teacher used to work at British Council overseas and University of Technology, Sydney. Our customized course helps students learn English faster. More importantly, our program is mobile every week, allowing students to experience different landscapes and cultures of Mentawai, Alahan Panjang, Bukittinggi and Padang, making boredom simply not an option. More importantly, our course enhances life skills, like critical thinking, creativity, and cultural awareness, while at the same time having fun doing tons of all-in activities, such as snorkeling, paddling, jeep rides, jet skiing, island hopping and paragliding. Before joining ELIA, my skills were absolute chaos especially in writing and speaking. I thought at first, achieving C1 was impossible for me. With just 2 months of preparation, I managed to increase my overall band significantly thanks to the teachers' guidance that helped me to prepare in such a short period.
I also loved the learning environment because of how interactive and fun each class session was, which suited my personality as I get easily bored with the old-fashioned method.
